Who is Recaro?
Recaro was founded in Germany in the early 1900s, initially structuring its business on the comfort and safety of car drivers’ seats. The company then specialized in providing comfortable and relaxing air travel with the Recaro Aircraft Seating line. Today, the company boasts a century of experience that has allowed it to expand into sectors such as gaming and the supply of child seats and strollers.

Project Brief
As the brand grew, Recaro felt the need for a flexible and innovative platform, capable of ensuring smooth navigation and a personalized purchasing experience for all users, as well as the ability to optimally cover all the markets in which the brand is present.

WHAT WE DID
Shopify Plus Integration with SOH to Extend Brand Value and Business
To meet the client’s needs, the Sintra team created a multilingual platform on Shopify Plus, then integrated with our SOH product, giving shape to a network of 15 different markets, generated in 4 languages. It also enabled Shopify – SAP management for multi-warehouse, multi-price list, product registry, order update with shipping information and Car Compatibility features.

A challenging project: Shopify Plus ecommerce building and SOH integration
The solution proposed by Sintra involved the creation of the website www.recaro-kids.com on Shopify Plus, to allow the customer to become a reference in the online market, leveraging the large and constantly changing and growing catalogue, fueled by the constant search for cutting-edge technological solutions. The project presented particularly challenging elements, in particular:
- Redesigning flows in a flexible way, to allow the customer to manage multi-price list catalogues in 15 different markets
- Shopify-SOH integration for PIM/OMS management, in order to make sales flows more efficient, harmonize and distribute product sheet information
- Implementation of a Car Compatibility system to help the user choose the ideal seat for their car

User Experience Analysis
The website and the BE interface were designed through a functional analysis process, aimed at identifying all the flows involved in e-commerce and facilitating operators in the management and loading of company assets through our SOH Middleware. An intuitive 360-degree product loading procedure is supported by an easy-to-navigate FE design, which allows potential e-commerce customers to quickly find the product with the features they are looking for.

Shopify + SOH Integration
The integration with SOH has allowed the unified management of multi-warehouse, multi-price list, product master data, stock/inventory control, order update with shipping information, returns management, product translations and car compatibility.

Car Compatibility
One of the most important and requested features by the market in this sector is undoubtedly that of understanding which product is compatible with your car. Within the Recaro site this is possible, thanks to the development of a system based on the integration of APIs, which allow a sequence of requests for the identification of compatibility taking into account: brand, model, year of production of the car and type of seat. SOH allows the constant updating of this section, with the addition and real-time updating of the models and brands of Cars, at an international level.

Post-delivery support
