Conforama Italia Spa is a large furniture chain, with 21 stores located throughout Italy, over 300,000 square meters of exhibition space, an online store always available and 1,500 employees and collaborators.

Project Brief
Since the old Pim system in use by the company no longer met the current needs of the brand, the company expressed the need to simplify and improve the way in which product information is managed, making it more accurate and consistent across all sales channels.

After a careful and thorough Functional and Technical analysis, Sintra guided Conforama in a project to replace their PIM system with Pimcore, integrating it with their AS/400 management system and the new Magento e-commerce, creating a high-performance digital ecosystem that helped the brand improve its online strategies.
A challenging project: Pim development with Pimcore and integration with Magento ecommerce and AS/400 management system
The project started with an analysis of Conforama’s requirements, both functional and technical, and then proceeded with the development of the PIM (Product Information Management) architecture, replacing Chalco, for the correct management of product records and related digital assets, and then integrated everything with the AS/440 management system via FTP and the Magento e-commerce, recently used by the company, with JSON:
