Who is TooA?
TooA is an Italian brand, based in Fabriano, in the Marche region. The brand is one of the most revolutionary in the food & beverage sector thanks to the creation of machines and robots that allow the customer to create and enjoy an ice cream comfortably at home or in the office. Toaa has also always been attentive to the sustainability and quality of the ingredients that make up their ice creams, with controlled raw materials and entirely Made in Italy.

Project Brief
TooA approached Sintra because it felt the need to have a more efficient and fluid eCommerce, migrating to Shopify. In addition, the application that connects the smartphone to robots and machines needed an improvement in interaction, allowing the machinery to be more efficient and efficient and to be continuously updated and in line with the eCommerce.
WHAT WE DID
Replatforming on Shopify and first rewrite in Italy of an app with Hydrogen
Sintra has migrated the TooA eCommerce to Shopify, making it faster and more intuitive to manage; in fact, the customer will no longer have to interface with a technical department but will be able to manage the platform independently. For the first time in Italy, Sintra has modeled an app with Hydrogen, Shopify’s own framework that allows for easy integration between the app and the back end and the contents of the Shopify eCommerce, with the construction of an application that is completely controllable from a smartphone via Bluetooth to control the actions of the robots and machinery used to produce ice cream and a highly customized experience that is perfectly integrated with the Shopify eCommerce, with products, offers and collections from the Shopify back office automatically updated, creating a total and homogeneous customer experience.
A challenging project: building Shopify Plus ecommerce and Shopify headless apps
The solution proposed by Sintra involved the creation of the website www.tooa.com on Shopify and the creation of the app integrated with Hydrogen. The project presented particularly challenging elements, in particular:
- Using a new application to write an app
- Shopify-app integration for a fully immersive shopping experience
- Creating a Bluetooth-enabled remote control to control robots or ice cream machines
